Since my daughter borrowed it so often and it wasn't in my house when I needed it, I decided to buy her a present:) I love the large flat surface that helps food cook evenly in a shorter time period. I can also remove the knob and put it in the oven.

I often cook Charleston Red Rice and it is perfect for mixing the rice and cooking on stovetop then moving it to the oven. This is my favorite pot and I plan to buy one more for backup and for my dauthter..
Paella Pot!, April 13, 2012 This review is from: Imusa Cast Aluminum Caldero 44 centimeter, 17.9 Quart, NSF Certified (Kitchen) I've raved about every size Imusa Caldero, as I have them from the tiniest to the largest.
When making a paella for a large party, this can't be beat whether stove-top, in the oven, or outdoors on the grill.
NOTHING makes guests go "wow" more than a huge pot stuffed with amazing savories from land and sea, and this is the pot to use for just such a presentation.
I hope it will suffice to say that living in a studio apartment in Midtown Manhattan, I still find this pot so essential for every application that I have not one, but TWO of them, and always within reach.
